I ate here every morning of our stay in Oxford, and it was delicious every time! The pastries were good, the dishes we ordered were good, and the coffee here was amazing. There was lots of seating, and it had a super cool vibe!
Absolutely unbeatable breakfast option for those in Jericho, the selection and friendly staff make this a no-brainer for those seeking a swift but delicious breakfast or brunch. With a huge variety of options both to eat and drink, Gail's in Jericho is 100% worth stopping in at. Their seasonal options add some great variety for those who attend regularly.
Avocado on sourdough, topped with seeds and a tomato relish; side of bacon (extra crispy)...it was pornograhic. Not exaggerating when I say I can't recall a nicer breakfast. Beautiful venue. Friendly staff. Would give higher than 5 stars if I could. Edit: Went back for lunch the following day.
This lovely bakery offers a good selection of breads and pastries. I wanted to try the cinnamon roll, but I was sidetracked by the sesame cardamom bun, which I absolutely love! I’m looking forward to returning for the cinnamon bun. They do charge a different price for dine-in.
Dining in is a bit pricey but the staff is very friendly, and if you find the right spot you can enjoy enjoy the air-conditioner, much needed in this heat wave 🥵☀️ This place is best for a group of two, or if you’re coming alone you should try sitting at the bar table. I haven’t been to a cafe that offers this kind of seating. Definitely recommend~ What I had: 🍔 Parmesan chicken burger (£8.10 dine in) ☕️ Iced Chocolate (£4.50 dine in)
I stopped by for breakfast while I was in Oxford for a conference, where there were no vegan options available, and I’m so glad I did. The person serving me was incredibly kind and helpful, he took the time to recommend the best vegan items on the menu. The food was amazing, especially the freshly baked barley, chocolate & hazelnut cookie—it was absolutely delicious and really made my morning. I wasn’t a big fan of the oat milk mocha personally, but everything else more than made up for it. Overall, a really positive experience and I’d definitely recommend stopping by, especially for the vegan options!

Amazing customer service—huge shout-out to the staff! This recent heatwave has been exhausting for everyone, and when I popped in for lunch, it was actually several degrees hotter inside than outside (which was already around 33°C). Despite that, the team were incredibly friendly, helpful, and full of smiles. If you’re able to—whether you’re the owner offering a bonus or a customer leaving a tip—please show them some extra appreciation!
My husband brought me some of your bread all the way to Japan as a souvenir last week, and it was absolutely delicious! The spiced bread was especially amazing, but it’s hard to choose a favourite because everything was so tasty. Scones have become very popular in Japan recently, so I’d love to visit your shop in person and try them fresh next time.
My favourite bakery café ever! The pastries are absolutely scrumptious, the coffee is great, and the vibes are superb. Every time I sit in a GAIL’s, I somehow end up with 2 or 3 orders, I just can’t help it!
